Visited The Emperor's Palace - did you know that the guards watching the palace stand straight in the same spot for more than six hours a day! At least they can move their head to look around.The man in the picture is not an Emperor his name is Mao Zedong he was a government leader when there was no more Emperor. People here really like him because his picture is everywhere like on the money and watches.
The Emperor's Palace is HUGE - the last Emperor was Pu Yi. He was a kid like me when he became the Emperor. I think that he may have used a map to help him find his way around the 9000 rooms of the palace.
The Emperor's army had different color clothes. The officers of different rankings wore colors based on their ranking.
I even had the chance to climb inside the palace because some places are really steep and high.
